We are cousins and have been best friends since birth. As kids we would always dream up our future lives, and they were always together. The plan we remember most is that we would live on a houseboat and publish children's books. Annie would be the illustrator and Michelle would write them, of course surrounded by our pet dolphins. Flash forward over 30 years, switch out the houseboat for Chicagoland and the dolphins for daughters and it feels like we are really living out our dreams. After high school Annie spent the next 20 years attending art school and working in Fashion in New York and Michelle was a Pharmacist in Chicago. We would visit often but plans of raising our families together felt out of reach. Three years ago the stars aligned Annie's husband was transferred to the Chicago suburbs and we found houses 4 min away from each other. 

           Like many women in America, we fell in love with the ritual and community of playing mahjong. One day while sitting in Annie's art studio going through her old paintings, Michelle came across a floral print that she jokingly held up and said wouldn't this make a pretty mahjong mat? From there Annie's creative mind ran with it, we had Luna moth jokers, beautiful flowers, and whimsical winds. Bloom Table Co was born. We have so many ideas for new collections and have had so much fun with this creative process, thank you for being here and we can't wait to share the world of Bloom Table with you.
